Paddy rice quality control process

The buyer's written specification is the acceptance standard. Our minimum transaction process:

1 Lot identification

Record farm-gate producer, sourcing location, quantity, bag count and date. Keep different lots identifiable during aggregation.

2 Representative sampling

Take samples from multiple bags and positions in the lot rather than relying on one surface sample.

3 Moisture check

Take multiple moisture-meter readings and record the results against the buyer's agreed limit.

4 Physical inspection

Check variety consistency, foreign matter, empty or immature grains, discoloured or damaged grains and visible contamination.

5 Condition check

Reject or escalate evidence of mould, unusual odour, insect activity, heating or wet bags.

6 Quantity verification

Confirm bag count and weight using the agreed commercial weighing method.

7 Pre-loading clearance

Obtain independent inspection where required, photograph the lot and release only accepted product for loading.

8 Delivery acceptance

Record delivered quantity, buyer inspection, accepted or rejected quantity and the reason for any rejection.

The buyer's written specification controls the final acceptance decision. Our minimum transaction process:

1 Lot identification

Record farm-gate producer, source location, quantity, bag count, date and any declared variety or origin information.

2 Representative sampling

Draw samples from multiple bags and combine them to assess the lot rather than a single bag.

3 Moisture check

Take and record several moisture readings against the buyer's agreed maximum.

4 Cleanliness check

Assess foreign matter such as stones, soil, stalks, pods and other non-soy material.

5 Bean condition

Check for damaged, split, shrivelled, discoloured or germinated beans and compare with the buyer's tolerance.

6 Safety and infestation

Reject or escalate mould, unusual odour, live insects, webbing, heating or other signs of deterioration.

7 Required testing

Arrange aflatoxin, residue, protein, oil, GMO-status or other laboratory tests only where required by the buyer or destination market.

8 Weight and clearance

Verify weight, obtain any required independent inspection, document loading and record buyer acceptance at delivery.
